about

Sharing original music is vulnerable, and it's rare that I think what I've made is ready for the public/worth sharing. This is no exception.

I've been going through a really dark few years, and one of the things that has simultaneously been both lacking, and my saving grace is music. Music is my most potent way of connecting with spirituality. When I do it right, I feel connected to all life. I feel like I'm channeling 'god'.

In the past 3 years I've played less music than ever in my life. One of the barriers I've been facing is that nobody ever hears most of the music I create, so it's hard to work up the enthusiasm to make it.

This year, I'm going to do something about it. I'm going to share what I make. unfiltered. unrefined. unbridled. I am not sharing with you perfection. Merely, a glimpse into my soul. Please let me know what you think. Please be gentle.

Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me to play more. Thanks to everyone who has held space for me, and been vulnerable with me and alongside me. Thanks to Joel Trigg for the inspiration behind this album. For anyone who doesn't know, he's been posting some amazing visceral solo piano stuff, and its raw and real (joeltrigg.bandcamp.com).
